An indoor water park with thrill rides and a lazy river is planned for the 7 Clans First Council Hotel and Casino south of Arkansas City in Oklahoma.
7 Clans First Council Casino north of Newkirk is opening their long-awaited indoor waterpark to hotel guests next week. This is a one-of-a-kind experience that, believe it or not, will be the only indoor waterpark and casino in the state of Oklahoma. There is an indoor waterpark in Clinton, Oklahoma, but that place is only a waterpark. The indoor park at First Council is 19,300 square feet and features four waterslides, a 300+ foot lazy river and a child-friendly water play area.

ATLANTIC CITY — The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority approved the preliminary site plan for an indoor water park next to the Showboat Hotel, but the proposal still has a ways. We stayed at the 7 Clans Casino Hotel for 3 days/2nights. Overall we where not impressed. We went for both a family vacation to visit the waterpark and do a little gambling. Waterpark- was amazing, tons of fun and we enjoyed this, especially the kids. Getting a wrist band for the waterpark was a disaster. They are extremely strickt when booking. 7Clans Casino CEO Bruce Barnett believes the water park creates a unique opportunity for 7Clans First Council Casino and Hotel. “Having the indoor water park adds year-round entertainment value for the entire family and will be a differentiator for our property,” Barnett says. Also included in the expansion are 60 new family style hotel rooms, four new food outlets, two new bars, an arcade and additional casino floor that overlooks the waterpark. A ribbon cutting ceremony for the waterpark was held earlier on Friday morning and the park itself will open at the casino on Monday morning.
Buffy’s and the casino expansion will be open to the public for dining and gaming. The other food outlets will be for the waterpark only as they are on the other side of the waterpark entrance. The only way to gain access to a day pass is to be a hotel guest which are always included on the hotel rate. Also, the Beachfront Hotel will be closer to the Casino entrance, while the Oceanside Hotel is closer to the waterpark area. You will not be charged a resort fee for either hotel. Waterpark passes are inclusive with all hotel rooms at no extra cost. The waterpark at this time is not offering bookings for private parties. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult while swimming.
The waterpark will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. The new casino area, which will open tentatively starting March 15, will be open daily from 11 a.m.-8 p.m., will be open daily from noon-2 a.m. First Council Casino will remain open 24 hours a day.

The Otoe-Missouria Tribe is getting ready to open an indoor water park at one of its casinos in Oklahoma. The 19,300 square-foot attraction is set to open at the 7 Clans First Council Casino Hotel in Newkirk on February 25. It's being billed as the only indoor water park at a gaming facility in the state. “Building upon our outstanding gaming and hotel facilities as well as our unique concert venue, we look forward to offering even more entertainment options to our patrons and their families. The expansion will provide a family entertainment experience unlike any other in our region,” Chairman John R. Shotton told The Stillwater News-Press. The water park is part of expansion the tribe began about a year ago. The project includes a arcade, diner, coffee shop and an additional suite-style rooms at the hotel. The water park is exclusive to hotel guests, according to the 7 Clans website. In addition to 7 Clans, the tribe operates two casinos, one in Red Rock and another in Perry. There are also two 'gasinos,' or gas stations featuring gaming machines, in Newkirk and Red Rock.
